I am a 68 man in the UK. I have a Left THR on the 20th March. The OT have arranged for my Chair and toilet seat to be lifted, my Beds fine. But I,m not looking forward to sleeping on my back for six weeks, I,ve read a lot about V pillows, has anyone used them, do they help ??.

Thanks

Brian

Sorry Brian cant help when I had my TAR I had to sleep with a boot on for six  weeks. Not much fun but worth it. I was on crutches for 2 months. It took about 8 months  to get toa semblance of normality but still worth it..

    Hi Brian

I tried a V pillow....it didnt help me but thats not to say it wont help you

    I find it great nowcheesygrin

It "lives" behind the seetee and when I want to stretch out on the setee and watch a bit of TV its very comfortable for thatwink

I'm sure people will come on and say it worked for them.....we are all diferent

I used a v pillow for back sleeping for first 4 weeks but then bought a 5ft body pillow which made side sleeping really comfy...sort of between the knees and wrap your arms round...got it on ebay....about £10 don't think theres any way round back sleeping just ueloasof pillows and one under your knee....now after a year I get the best sleep I've had for years!
