Vagina prolapse

I have just been diagnosed with a vaginal prolapse, at the moment I am not certain what grade, I am waiting to hear from the GP surgery as to seeing someone at the hospital.

I do get a strange noise when I pee, its as though its coming from the vagina, it doesnt happen every time, when I mentioned it to the GP he said its because the vagina is close to where you pee, I am not to certain what he meant by that, has anyone else experienced a odd noise when they pee with a prolapse.
