i tried alot of things when i first found out i had it i was prescribed metronidiazole which didnt get rid of it so i went bck to the doctors and she suggested i take it 5 tablets every months for 5 months along side over the counter products so i used so gel and oessaeys from the pharmacy it still didnt get rid of it and i developed pelvic inflammatory disease i was then given a further 3 lots of antibiotics they got eid of the pellvic pain but not the smelly discharge so i went back to the doctors an she prescribed antibiotic cream that u insert for 7 nights which finally got rid of if i had it a good 4 years i was told to just use pads not tampons just to use water when washing no douching or owt like that and to sleep with underwear off and to only wear cotton pants not thongs or tight undergarments i also took a probiotic for vaginal flora for 3 months after the clindamycin cream to help prevent yeast an bv reoccuring

mine kept reoccurring after my period every month and wasnt related to having sex as i didnt have any sex for a good few months incase thats wat the cause was but it still kept coming back so pretty sure it was using tampons whilst on my period and using them was holding blood inside the vagina and causing problems withe ph as blood has a different ph to the vagina 😏 soon as i changed to pads i noticed a bit of a difference but it never stopped the problem until i got the antibiotic cream at the end of the day its a vaginal infection and it will need to be treated with some kind of antibiotic its finding one that gets rid of it for good thats the problem everyone seems to have i havnt had bv for 5 months now hoping thats its gone finally

look into things like diet & vaginal washes that could be causing reoccurring BV. for me it was my birth control so my doctor switched my level of hormones. "The V Eraser" (can be found at target for $14 for 2 1week doses) worked great for getting rid of it for me.
