Vagina std or herpes?! Or infection maybe??

So this started last Wednesday and i thought it was like underwear rash of first. i couldn't have sex because it was a bit painful but then a couple of days later it just kept getting irritated maybe because i wear thongs so it started getting worse, later it hurt to pee and even when i would touch the area it'd be painful because it would make contacted on the irritated area, I'm going to get checked soon could anyone tell me if its just an affection or herpes i hope it isn't herpes but please if anyone could help
