Vaginal atrophy

I have vaginal atrophy and have been on vagifem for 7 weeks the Dr wanted me to go down to 2 x weekly but can't manage that so am doing 3 x weekly Mon wed Fri but still struggle going from Fri to Mon. The dryness has gone and I feel normal down there, but I still feel the need to wee a lot and have the horrible sensitive feeling on my vulva . My question is will that go in time as I realise it's early days or do i need more vagifem . . Has anyone else have the same problem. It isn't constant and I am so much better than I was I suppose I would say I'm 75% there just need the other 25% to feel myself again

    Hi Angie

Hang in there girl.....you are almost there!  It does take some time to heal the Atrophic Vaginitis.. I know ladies on here that were able to control it with the Vagifem taking 2x weekly and others that are having to use more up to 5.  My doctor had me start with Estrace cream first for 14 days then start with the Vagifem 2x weekly. I apply some Estrace cream on the outer area if I feel any discomfort which is minimal now.  As said sounds like you are almost there....feeling normal again!  I wish you well.....others on here will share their thoughts.

    Blessings,

Thanks Wendy the Dr started me 14 days straight on astriol then as I said above but just seem to be left with this strange feeling on my cliterouse and feeling a need for a wee all the time . But has only been 7 weeks I can handle it if I know it will go eventually. Thanks for replying
