Vaginal atrophy referral to Urology

I have suffered with with Vaginal atrophy for years and take Ovestin cream and Vagirux 5 times a week. This seems to work great most of the time however I still get a bad flair up at least 3 times a year, i.e. I become more incontinent and my bladder gives me discomfort when full or empty, this usually goes away or turns into a UTI for which I am given antibiotics sometimes. A new Doctor said that because I had traces of blood in my urine when he dipped it (which I do have & was told thats normal for some woman) and increased incontinence, he felt it was best to be on the safe side ans I should have an appointment with urology .. I just wondered what other people's symptoms are & if anyone can relate to my symptoms? feeling really fearful . Thanks in advance for any help .
