Vaginal Discharge Normal? What Could it Be? Not Yeast Infection ***TMI w/PICTURE***

Hi all,

This is a little embarrassing but I just want to put it out there and ask if I should be concerned by this type of vaginal discharge/mucus.

Background: I have been on birth control pills for the last 8 years, and my vaginal discharge has always been thin, clear and sometimes milky. However, last year I got a yeast infection and since then my discharge hasn't been the same. Does your discharge change after getting a yeast infection?

After my yeast infection, my discharge has been consistently white, thick and clumpy-ish (see attached picture). Not exactly cottage cheesy, but smaller white chunks. It makes me self conscious when me and my partner have intercourse (and when I look down on his penis, I see my "left over white bits" on him).

I have been reading some articles and comparing the symptoms and differences between yeast infection, thrush and BV, but I'm not sure I fit the bill for any of them. The discharge doesn't have an offensive odour to it, nor a taste, there are no bumps, painful urination (except sometimes after sex), or inflammation going on down there. Occasionally the area does get irritated during sex (maybe going too hard, perhaps?) but for the most part, I feel normal down there. I've also seen my family doctor for regular PAPS, and he says I have a healthy vagina, so I'm at a loss.

I guess I'm just looking to see if this type of discharge/look happens to anyone else. I have done so many internet searches and quizzes but everything I'm reading keeps saying it's normal type of discharge.

Thanks in advance!
