Vaginal. Hysterectomy

Had my vaginal hysterectomy with anterior and posterior repair over two years ago. I am still unable to have intercourse because of the pain. My surgeon has now suggested a botox injection, anyone else had this?

Has Surgeon fully examined you to tell you whether he/she thinks it's possible or too narrow due to scar tissue or just from the op anyway? Is it hurting cause you're expecting it to do are really up tight to begin? Using heaps of lube? When I was outside theatre on way to having anterior & posterior repairs, my Surgeon announced that he was only going to repair anterior prolapse as he was thinking I could end up too tight if he did both. My posterior prolapse was only mild. So it is possible that you're too tight now. Has he sent you to a pelvic floor physio?

Robyn, thanks for your comments. The pain is in one specific place, I was told it was scar tissue, but a second opinion advised no scar tissue was present. I have had physio to no avail. This is why a botox injection was suggested. Just want to know if anyone else has had this injection?

Well, that sounds to me like it's worth trying the Botox. I haven't read an instance on here in the 2+yrs I've been on here, where someone has had this. But it makes good sense.
