So I recently finished my period Saturday now I am very irritated and am itchy. I do use tampons and i had one in that nay have been a size too big towards the end of my period but after i had removed it i started to develop an itch and some irritation. Could this just be irritation from the tampon?

its possible ecspecially if you were having a lighter period. are you having any discharge? any burning or pain? any open sores? it sounds like a yeast infection. you can try over the counter monistat or vagisil. are you sexually active?

no discharge.i think i still have some
excess period blood though when i wipe. there isnt any burning but sometimes a dull throb. i get really itching after wiping though. i am sexually active the last time i had sex was about 2 weeks ago then i had gotten my period about 4 days after so i think using tampons might have caused more irritation because i was slightly sore from having sex
