I have vaginal atrophy.Recently when not having sex..i no longer do,the opening to my vagina feels very tight, heavy and then painful. Can any of you relate to me?Its like a heavy pressure pain.Relief from lying down.Wonder if could be prolapse, have read pelvic muscle tightness can caus vulva pain.Very distressing.

Lee, do you have any sign of a bulge coming out of the vaginal opening when you stand up?  That would be a sign of a prolapse.  Do you still have a uterus?  I'm just wondering if that could be prolapsing but I think you need to get this checked out, so that's what I'd recommend.

Hi Lee:  I describe it as the opening feels like it is stretching so much causing pain.  have no idea what that means but usually the beginning of an episode
