I have vaginal bumps on my inner labia that are sooo painful . they burn, and itch. i went to the gyno and they did a culture test thinking it was HERPES( i have been married for 15 years and my husband and i have never had herpes) it came back NEGATIVE for both kinds.ran all sorts of blood tests and every thing was normal. then they said it might be p yeast infection gave me medicine 2 weeks later no improvment . went to a diff gyno and he said it is molluscum contagisosum . he searched for pIcs online to show me and it looks Nothing like what i have. he said it will go away in a week and that there is no medicine for it cause its a virus. i am in so much pain i cant handle it anymore i dont know what to do. i dont think the doctors know what is going on . . . image

culture swabs came back negative? this definitely looks like a primary herpes outbreak. MC is not likely. did they test you for any other std? I suggest go to a sexual health clinic and take all tests. something is wrong and it needs to be treated.

they took herpes culture 2 times 2 weeks apart negative both times .also blood test for herpes antibodies came back negative. tested for chlamydia , hpv, cervical cancer too. all negative .

that is very odd. no other infection came up in the vaginal swab? something that isn't an std but more of a certain bacteria to cause an infection, may need antibiotics but at least you are clear of any std.

something is wrong especially if you're having those symptoms. Maybe you should get a different opinion. hope you feel better. keep us updated !

If the doctor says it's viral then you just have to wait it out and maybe you should take naproxen for the pain and keep moisturizing it with shea butter.

An antibiotic cream like neosporin/bacitracin could keep potential bacteria at bay

it doesn't look like herpes too me, it look far too angry, if anything at a first glance visual diagnosis i would say it looks more like syphillis? have you been tested for this?

it has been 7 weeks now. I have had 2 additional herpes cultures - negative both times. blood test for herpes antibodies negative. NEGATIVE for every STD. negative for yeast. blood tests -all normal. took antibiotics for 10 days ... no help. i dont know what to do anymore. . . the bumps have moved down and the pain is so much more intense i wanna scream when i pee. doctor keeps saying "its a virus, it will clear up on its own" what the hell does that even mean? what virus is it? how does he know it will clear up? im so frustrated!!!!image

honestly, i would ask for the herpes medication anyways. it does look like herpes and could've been a false negative. herpes outbreaks can happen years after infection. (so dont assume your husband has cheated on you or anything)

even if it is not herpes, the antiviral medication could help with your discomfort.

how long has it been there?

if it is herpes lt should scab and heal over in a few weeks.

sorry i did not see your reply post. that is odd they have been there for 7 weeks. i agree you should get tested for syphilis. i have also read stories of mono and adenovirus and epstein-barr viruses causing genital ulcers. perhaps get a blood test for all viruses? herpes ulcers would have healed by now. also look into foreign stds, there are a few stds that are not common in america that cause genital ulcers.

i hope you begin to feel better. although mine does not look similar, i also have a painful vaginal issue that i cant resolve. all my tests have come back negative as well (for 3 years). i completely understand how frustrating this is and how depressing it is to deal with this pain every day. if you ever need to talk feel free to message me!

i was tested for syphilis and it was negative. now they think its possibly behcets disease because i have some other issues going on - joint pain , blurred vision and foggy brain . They did a biopsy and I have been referred to a rheumatologist
