Vaginal tear or herpes OB? Please help

so yesterday, 12-24-19, I attempted to have sex for the 1st time since 9-1-19 (September 1st File size is too bigis when I had unprotected sex with a guy I was dating then, that afterwards, told me he was positive for herpes 1 & 2). I was dry yesterday, he used a condom, and we stopped quickly. immediately after I felt a tear. Does this look like a tear only or is this herpes??
full panel std testing at 5 & 13 weeks after 9-1-19 and everything was negative including herpes 1 & 2 igg and igm.

The positioning of it is a really common spot for tearing. I get spots like this all the time in that exact spot. I tear frequently, as my birthcontrol causes me to be kind of dry down there. Also, if he penetrated you from behind you are more likely to tear in this spot as well... However, I also have hsv1. I got it presumably from having someone go down on me while I had a little but of a tear. He didnt have a cold sore but because I had open/raw skin I think it gained entry to my body easier.. So be careful during this time.... Ive had 2 actual outbreaks that i know of, and both times I had a spot in this location as well but also in a few other areas around my hymen. My outbreaks looked exactly like the tears and like this image, but felt different... The main way I can tell the difference for me is that tears itch more in the specific location and kind of feel more "pinchy" when i move a certian way, it lasts for about a day or two, then i begin feeling better... Your vagina heals very fast from damage. in comparison, my outbreaks felts like a more constant irritation feeling that was coming from a generalized area and not as specific spot. Kind of like an ache that felt tingly and raw a bit. It also lasted longer, like 4-5ish days before improving. They also stung worse when pee came into contact... So to sum up, it is hard to tell what this is from, there are a lot of things to weigh out and it can be different for everyone.. Because your man is positive, if you care to know for certian, you should get it swabbed though! I hope this information helps in some way

@Sam it does and thank you! I just checked and its not as big/red/swollen like before and I can see where it is crack/tear in the middle.
It doesn't burn when I pee so that helps. Will definitely let everyone know my results once I get it back in about a week. 🙏🤞

today is day 3, 12-27-19. my vagina feels better. peeing with no burn. I can see the tear clearly now.
I'm documenting and sharing pics just in case someone else is going through the same thing like me. I do think it was just a tear.

Looks like results are in and it's negative for herpes via swab test on open tear.

I had the exact same thing happen. I was told my vagina was very dry and definitely not herpes. Then my blood tests came back positive. I'm hoping this is not the case for you.

Hi Sasha! The swab came back negative for you? If you don't mind me asking, how many weeks post exposure did you do blood tests that came back positive? I did my blood tests at 5 & 13 weeks igg & igm (full std panel) and it was all negative for herpes 1 & 2. I did this swab test at 16 weeks & 4 days post exposure and it's negative still.

I would say you're in the clear. Swabs are usually accurate. That is really good news!

Hi Stephanie. It looks like herpes. Can you go to urgent care ASAP to get a swab test? Do you need any suggestions on how to relieve the pain (I saw your other posts)? I've seen on here things people do to get comfortable. I'm praying for you and wishing the best. Either way its just a skin condition and things will get better. 🙏

So your still negative right? how many tests did you take? when did you call it quites?

last test was swab Dec..26th. prior to that a full panel at 13 weeks. I'm going to do another full panel in March. That will be 6 months and final test.
I did 2 swab tests and 2 blood tests (5 wks & 13 wks) so far

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give an update. Did my final STD testing yesterday. 30 weeks post exposure and herpes 1&2 came back negative. 🙏
