Hi Diane yes it's all very scary when u are waiting to have your op. You will feel a lot better after the fibroids are gone. It takes awhile to recover my only advice is be kind to yourself and don't push yourself to do too much after the  op. We all try to please everybody but just please yourself and take the time you need to recover. We all need to do it at our own pace because it is different for each one of us. Hope all goes well. 🌻🌻🌻

    Hi Diane,

Please don't worry you will be fine.

Can i just ask how big your fibroids are when you say big.If they are too big you won't be able to have a vaginal hysyerectomy.I had about 4 fibroids and i had to have a TAH which i knew would be the case when i saw the consultant. One of my fibroids was 20cm and weighed 6lbs but my recovery was easy apart from the wind and the constipation. My op was nearly 9 weeks ago and i amdue to go back to work tomorrow.Vaginal recovery is meant to be the quickest and abdominal the longest.Good luck

Hi, the Dr told me one is the size of a grapefruit and the other a tennis ball and my uterus like if I was 12 weeks pregnant and I asked the Dr if the fibroids are to big to do the tvh the response was that she will cut it so it will be able to come out vaginally but I'm nervous about that because I read that if the uterus is cut or fibroids it can spread undetected cancer and I also know that the fda took the morcellator away due to this fact but ain't cutting the same I was thinking about going for a 2second oppion
