I was prescribed Valium 5mg for anxiety . I don't want to become addicted but i need the meds to feel good . is it safe to take it only once a day and be safe from addiction ? or can I take more then just once a day and still be safe? what would be a good technic to not get addicted.

I do know a very close friend who takes it only when really cannot resist and it works, the same as they will gve you to get to the dentist or exam or driving test so that it seems to work instant I am not a professional at all only saying what works for him,so see perhaps if you really can only take it when you really cannot cope,I have heard that the GPs do not like you to be on them long term.
Good luck.

I do know a friend who take simply when cannot cope,They do give odd ones for exams flying or driving test,so I expect it works instantly almost,I am no professional only saying what suits him,and I know our GP does not like giving it long term.
So only a suggestion can you try and only take it when desperate.
Wish you well.

Listen this addiction lark is a lot of rubbish,I get tired of hearing this about drugs that really do the trick,i have had Valium over the years, taken it everyday for months,10mg,5mg you name it,but never had a problem coming off it,there are people out there though who get a prescription for valium, xanax clonazepam who do misuse it and end up in hospital or worse, that is why doctors are so reluctant to prescribe it,fear of misuse, and them suffering repercussions. In fact my doctor will only prescribe it for a month maximum,it's just a pity they are not as strict with anti-depressants.
You take what you need,I don't see why you should worry about addiction,i take 600mg of Pregabilin a day,I feel good, that would floor some people, but we're all different, but don't let anybody tell you you're addicted, you're not you just need it to get you through right now, just be strong when you do have to stop, you'll be fine, good luck enjoy yourself, life's too short.
