Varicocele Embolisation

Hi all,

Had surgery on the 6th of December 21 and wanted to ask if anyone else who has had the same surgery could comment on post surgery recovery? I have searched and searched and not much content or advice found.

I am in more pain post surgery than I was pre which the nurse said is common. For last few days I have had cronic pain where I believe the coils were placed but this seems to have passed. Weirdly when experiencing this pain I had zero pain from the testicle but now this has passed the pain in testicle has come back.

I had 6 coils put in and my varicocele was a stage 3.

Still resting up and wearing briefs that are providing comfort.

Can anyone shed some light on their post surgery? Did you experience pain? How long for? Any discomfort where the coils were placed?

Found this site prior to the operation and it was massively helpful.
