Hi I started venlafaxine 13 years ago with a break inbetween to have my daughter who's now ten.

They worked fantastic for me over the years. Been up to maximum dose several times and back down again to just 75mg.

Several months ago it was obvious they were not working for me anymore so have been started on citropram. Think i just got used of them.

As for side effects I can honestly say I only ever felt tired temporarily.

Hope they work for you too 😀

I dont used meds, i cant. . but i just saw a whole webinar on fight or flight stuff aNd it made a lot of sense. This whole anxiety thing is a over "survivot" mode thing. That i knew. So taking medicine or taking anything would cause fear cause whilst in a state of mind of terror you are going to get paranoid about all this and fear symtoms. But the irony is the anxiety disorder is more destructive unmanaged in its nature anyway. Its like a no win sitaution with it once it gets a grip. If you were able to forge thru this on no meds you would have. And if you need them now for a while so be it. The fear stopping you from listening to the doctors is the same fear giving you panic attacks and debiliating your life. Truth is you can always wean off them if you dont want them so no harm done anyway. Just be aware of that.

      Thanks Lisa

It is a never ending battle just need this to be over with so debilitating. Hate taking meds get anxious but can't seem to win this on my own.

Feel doctors make mistakes I know realistically tho know I need to take them I shake and everything knowing I need to take them.

      Take care

      Thanks for reply

    Hello Me

This is what generally happens, so do not worry. Your GP has tried you on a lower dose of medication and feels it must be ok to up the dose. He is making sure you are going to be ok

So do not worry, just take these medications, you can always see your GP if you are still unhappy. Give the medication a chance

If you're EVER unsure about how much of your medicine to take, ask the druggist to explain the prescription to you. They have to write the doctors' instructions on the pill bottles.

If it helps, I take four 25mg tabs (100mg) of hydroxyzine every night, as ordered by my doctor.

But you MUST get the instructions clear in your head!
