Venlafaxine and rexulti for extreme anxiety

Hello, a friend had extreme anxiety for about 8 months, started on ven, and increased to 150mg. Each increase made her symptoms initially worse. 4 weeks into 150mg ven doseage, she also started on a very low dose of rexulti, think it was 0.5mg, then after a couple of weeks went to 1.0mg. Shortly afterwards, she experienced significant improvements, extreme stomach cramps dissapeared, has got her appetite back, and is doing considerably better now, for last 2 months. Still feels a little shaky on a morning and slight anxiety, but not a big deal. Rexulti is expensive, and my friend wants to know, now that shes considerably better, would an increase in ven improve her further, and possibly allow her to drop rexulti? Has anyone had any experience of taking these 2 meds. My friend still takes a few xanax a day. She did have mild depression, when she had ectreme anxiety, but this has gone. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
