Venlafaxine and weight gain

Posted , 1 user is following.

Hi everyone.

I've always been around 8 stone going a few pound up and down but always the same slim build. In November I started venlafaxine and I am now on 225mg the last 4 months. My weight is now about 9 and a half stone. My clothes don't fit like they used too. I feel like I am just expanding outwards. I've a stomach that was never there. I've been on many different anti ds over the years and never gained weight. On venlafaxine I feel I could eat EVERYTHING! I'm always hungry.

I'm quite good with what I eat though, it's always fruit I snack on. And I'm active enough I would go on a walk everyday. But my weight is still rising.

Anyone else experience this? Or know how to stop it?

I should add that I feel great otherwise. But I know my weight is going to get me down, I can feel it pressing in the back of my mind.
