Sweating is one of the side effects of venlafaxine. I notice it more in the summer particularly.

Hi Linzi. sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I am on mirtazapine and venlafaxine and lithium (was wrongly diagnosed with bipolar instead of depression!) I am currently weaning off venlafaxine as it was causing anxiety and I didn't feel like 'me' on it. If you feel unwell with the venlafaxine, please talk to your health advisor. I wish I had never taken venlafaxine as it is the worst drug to withdraw from if you need to stop taking it if it is ineffective at treating your depression/anxiety. it has taken a while for me to taper from 375mg daily to 75mg. Emotional and physical withdrawal is awful and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I am trying some natural methods to help me which might help you feel better. I've bought a calming blanket (it has weights in it which reduce stress hormones, aids deep sleep and also increases serotonin naturally) I go for a walk each day. Eat lots of fresh fruit and also take a probiotic tablet. Drinking lots of water too. I do hope you feel better soon. x

Hiya, I totally agree about Venlafaxine.. Nightmare to come off.. Ive managed to reduce dose from 300mg to 150 a day and Im too scared to reduce further.. Took a year to reduce because of the side effects .. x

I don't know much about mirtazipine. But I definitely Do Not Like Venlafaxine.. Just my experience with it and I wish I'd never been prescribed it.. side effects coming off it are awful if it doesn't suit you.. take care
