hi there.. no none of these symptoms.. except for the sweating.. 2 and half weeks is definitely early days if you want to or have to continue taking it.. I'm desperate to get OFF it after many years.. I will offer my opinion about Venlafaxine and I hope I don't cause you distress.. but.. once you've started it.. Very difficult to get off it.. If I were you..at this early stage.. I'd ask your Doctor to change the medication.. If I'd been aware of the side effects of forgetting to take it and that Companies that make it or distribute it. run out of supplies.. the stuff has destroyed my life.. plain and simple.. I'm still taking a lower dose but want off it.. Hope you're ok but talk to doctor about an alternative.. best regards Irene X

Hi Louise. I have similar thoughts as Irene. I have been on Venlafaxine for two and a half years. It did not help me at all and I am currently reducing them with the support of a new psychiatrist. I cant stress enough how bad this drug is. I have been told on more than one occasion (by members of the medical profession) that it is more difficult to get off than heroin. Withdrawal is horrific: Vivid nightmares, vomiting, the shakes, splitting headaches, insomnia and frequent suicidal ideation. You have a chance to avoid this by changing to a different med. I have reduced from 375mg to 75mg in the past 5 months. With each reduction I've had to endure at least 7 days of all the above symptoms. I would not wish it on anyone. This drug has nearly cost me my life on very many occasions but I can see light at the end of the tunnel at last. Please, please be careful. Jackie x
