Venlafaxine withdrawal

Hi iam new on here. I've been on venlafaxine for about 10 years, slowly coming off it since beginning of Feb 2021. Couldn't come off it doing it with my Doctor, as increments were far to big for me to cope with. After looking at forums and medical websites decided I had to do it myself, as I was desperate to come off it. sleep being the biggest issue, along with other things. So bought some scales and a pill cutter. I was on 150mg of the XL Venlafaxine at the start, and every day reduced by 2 or 3mg. I am currently on about 58mg. It is a slow process, and it's not easy, as if you've done this yourself, you know that the sideaffects don't seem to get any better, as you hope and feel they should. I have better days. But until I get off this awful drug, my life is on hold. Can't plan things, as I just don't know from day to day. Just wondered if you have to completely come off it before you feel like a normal person again?

I wish I could help, I'm 5 days off and this is by far the hardest thing I've ever done, I have caved in and bridged with prozac in hope that'll be a better fit and counteract the withdrawals. what are you experiencing?
