Venlafaxine. Withdrawal like effects due to dosage change?

Hi.

I've been on venlafaxine for 7 years.

About a year ago I was switched from 75mg instant release to 150mg prolonged release because I was fed up with feeling drowsy. All was going well until about 8 months in I'd feel what can only be described as slight withdrawal effects? A quick sort of dizziness and tingly lips. The only thing I could think of was that I'd started using Gaviscon. Could the Gaviscon have reduced the effect of the venlafaxine?

This was an after thought though. At the time I asked to go back to instant release as I thought the prolonged release had just stopped being as effective. But now I'm back on two 75mg instant release and feel sick and heavy headed and sweaty.! I can't win.

I did notice that for two weeks on the two 75mg instant release they didn't feel too potent but I was taking Gaviscon nearly every night? Two days off Gaviscon and the 75mg instant release have hit me hard!

I'm thinking if I go back to the 150mg prolonged release and this time stay off the Gaviscon then hopefully they will do their job as the Gaviscon won't be slowing down the absorption causing withdrawal effects?

Is this likely?
