Venous Insufficiency

Hi,

I would like to enquire about others' experience of what I've been told is 'venous insufficiency' in my lower legs. In the morning, my legs are their normal size, although they are very tired. During the day, however, from as soon as I get up, my lower legs/calves start to swell. They swell and fell heavy, and slow me down. I guess they fill with fluid of some kind. I cannot kneel or crouch down as the calves have grown so big, and cannot really do any exercise or sport, except a bit of walking on the flat - going uphill is now a struggle as the legs just won't move or flex like before. I have actually had this problem for a few years now. It is very debilitating and restricting.

Has anyone had a similar experience, and if so, what would you recommend ? Thank you very much.

Grimm,do consider getting some long compression socks . They will help with the fluid collecting in your lower legs.
