Venous Stents

I'm 22 years old and was incidentally diagnosed with IVC atresia in September 2019, following extensive, chronic, bilateral DVTs up to my stomach. I now have post thrombotic syndrome. I have been taking 10 mg BD of Apixaban for 14 months. However, my dosage was reduced to 5 mg BD in January 2021. I am back on the Fragmin injections awaiting an ultrasound on my legs to ensure I have not developed another clot whilst on the lower dosage of Apixaban. I am also undergoing further tests to see if my veins are suitable for the venous stent procedure. Has anyone else had any experience with the stent procedure procedure and what were your results?

Also, how do you manage long term effects of post thrombotic syndrome? I am currently wearing level 2 compression stockings, elevating my legs, ensuring i am mobile and still doing exercise, but I am still struggling with the pain and swelling. Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
