Vertigo, 17 years so far and no relief

Posted , 3 users are following.

I have had severe dizzy spells on and off for the past 17 years, started at the age of 10 and I still have not found anything to help. Pills don't work, I tried the reply maneuvers, that didn't work. When I get the dizzy spells it feels like my brain is swirling super fat while someone hit em in the head with a hammer and blinds neither a light. It usually only lasts between 15-60 seconds. But I could have about 40 or more per day. Its almost always about 4-7 days that it lasts then doesn't happen again for a couple months. The longest I ever went was nearly 5 years without it happen till recently. The doctor says there no cure

Can have all the tests done. They can narrow it down to what it may be. Some get meds that help a little. Therapy can to. But there's no cure unless it a ear infection or some such. Bppv or some of the other issues we all have we just have to live with.

Is there a specific trigger for these events, e.g. head movement?

No, it's usually just when I wake up in the morning. I have always avoided rollercoasters/rides or anything that I think might trigger it.

Has blood pressure fluctuations been ruled out?
