Vertigo

when I awoke on Monday the whole room was spinning and I felt very nauseous. when I tried walking I totally lost my balance. Had a phone consultation yesterday and after explaining my symptoms the doctor thought it is probably vertigo . I've never had this before but I did mention that I had the flu injection a couple of days before so asked if this could have caused this problem. He said sometimes it could.trigger things off. I would like to hear of anyone else has experienced anything like this or for that matter anyone who has experienced vertigo. How long it lasts and how to handle it.
