Vertigo again and feel hopeless

I'm in bed not able to move my head this morning. for the first time in a month i decided to use 1 pillow when sleeping instead of 5. i had a lovely sleep woke up feeling great. don't know why but i decided to perform the eply manoeuvre. it has only ever given me vertigo once but i perform it everyday and i don't even know if i have bppv and neither does the doctor but he told me to do it anyway.

i had horrible vertigo that lasted a couple of minutes but the lasting affect is still here and from previous experience can last days or even weeks. I'm not having vertigo at the moment but everytime i turn my head i start getting this rocking feeling. like I'm on a boat and feeling unsteady on my feet. only get vertigo when laying down on my right side and when i did the eply on my right side. i know im going to have these other symptoms for weeks now. i obviously dont have bppv because i thought eply was to treat it not make me feel worse for weeks. feeling so fed up expecially not knowing whats causing it. this all started the day after going on a fun fair ride and its causing so much anxiety and not sure i can live with this. right now i can't even move without feeling like im going to have a vertigo attack. all i want is a diagnosis so frustrating. i have to crawl on my knees to go bathroom! people think im drunk when im outside i just want to feel normal and fir the last 5 mnths this has been going on.

sounds like BPPV if every time you move your head you get dizzy. It took 3 times of the Epley for my problem to clear up. Do you do vestibular exercises? Have you been checked out by a specialist? What happens when you move your head very slowly?

i didn't think bppv caused symptoms in-between attacks of vertigo. i haven't felt rugyht for 5 months and been doing eply everyday. i haven't seen specialist yet cause ny doctor not doing referrals with the covid but I'm thinking i might go private depending in how much that will cost. I've been told not to see a normal ent doctor as they won't help. do you know wat specialist i should see? its not so bad if i move my head slowly. i just thought bppv sufferers do the eply and once its cleared up they get no more symptoms but i seem to still have the fuzzy head feeling even when im not getting vertigo and cant sleep without 5 pillows. everyone ive spoken to seems puzzled and the doctor don't know wat it is. i only get vertigo when laying down so i would of thought BPPV too. when i move my head i don't get vertigo its a feeling of veiyng on a boat. last night was really bad i had a severe panic attack i felt so fed up 😦

I completely sympathize with you! A few weeks (maybe a month now) I had a HORRIBLE episode of vertigo, worse than ANY I have ever had before. I was cleaning (not with any toxic fumes, literally just using a hand duster) and I was looking up and looked down fast which triggered a massive attack. I actually thought I was having a stroke or something and walked over to my neighbors house because I was so scared I was going to faint.

Rewind to about 5 years ago when I first experienced the vertigo that never went away. I saw multiple doctors (never had a scan though) and was told I had Vestibular Neuritis and it lasted for MONTHS.. almost to a year. Then, bam.. gone!

Now with this it set me back majorly. I've had the lasting effects of dizziness for weeks now. It was worse the first few days after it but it still comes and goes. I just want it to go away. Not to mention that since NY is on pause it's been a rough go of just sitting around and doing nothing. So, this whole thing SUCKS!

    Hang in there.
