vertigo and dizziness attacks?

Hiya. I've been suffering with vertigo and dizziness attacks for the last 6 months. Symptoms typically include vertigo or dizziness, eyes go completely crossed, I get a numbness down the right side of my face and my mouth, I get pressure in my head just above my ears and occasional nausea. The attacks wipe me out for the next 24 hours. In between attacks I have slight dizziness and sensitive or blocked ears. Other days I'm completely symptom free!?

I was initially diagnosed with Labyrinthitis, then the doc thought it was meniers. I've had an initial ENT appt and he doesn't think it's meniers. I'm now waiting for a vestibular balance test appt at the hospital and an MRI.

I've been told I've just got to put up with it for the moment but it's causing mayhem with my work life. In the last 7 weeks I've not been able to work a full week.

Anyone else having similar issues???

    Sounds like it could be migraine associated with the numbness symptoms, hope you soon get sorted, a neurology migraine specialist would advise.

      Thanks. I was wondering about MAV. Today I have a headache and sore eyes and my ears feel a little blocked. I don't generally suffer from full blown headaches or migraines, but have been getting a slight dull ache most days which I have put down to tiredness, even though I'm sleeping fine.

      Mine was diagnosed as MAV - I don't get headaches or nausea, but I do get flashing lights. When bad my attacks were associated with a funny feeling on one arm, not numbness really, but mostly I have the feeling that I'm going to faint or fall and feel unsteady, mostly in open spaces and often when crossing the road. Trouble is that makes me anxious and panic and I don't know now how much it is anxiety and panic.

    Hi can I ask something?? Ive been suffering dizziness for almost 4 months now. It's not spinning sensation. I feel like I am in the boat or water/waving/swaying. And when I am walking or standing I feel something heavy in my head. 'Twas started last June, while I was laying in my bed and scrolling my phone I sweat and everyrhing I see was sliding. Do u guys think I have vertigo/Anxiety/TMJ coz I wearing braces?

      You have the same dizziness I have, like on a boat. If I move my head then i get that pressure feeling, but only on right side of my head. Do you feel dizzy when you hold your head straight and dont move?

      Well I think braces have nothing to do with it, i had braces and was totaly fine, but anxiety could just makes things worse. Maybe im wrong, but i dont think braces can cause vertigo.

      I don't feel dizzy when I turn my head right or left or straight. TMJ can cause vertigo and you can have it if you have missing tooth, braces something like that. And when I walk the land is bouncing from side to side.

    meclizine (travel sickness pills) can help with 

    benign paroxysmal vertigo
