Vertigo from hell this morning

I woke up to turn over in bed at about 7:15 this morning and wham worst episode ever. Usually if I force myself to lay in the direction that brings on the vertigo it eventually subsides. Not this time. I would switch sides, to no avail. So I got up( it’s always better when I’m not lying down) tried a few of the maneuveres that I’ve heard about. Nothing worked. Usually I can deal with it till the episode is over which is about 2 hours. Not this time , even nauseous hit me.

It’s been almost 5 hours and when I lay down I’m finally not completely spinning but it’s like my eyes are moving. I still am not sure if I can bend over to wash my hair and too anxious to try.

I usually get vertigo about 4-5 times a year. But the dr just chalked it up to fluid I guess because he gave me a beta histine. Which I have never tried.

Does anyone else get infrequent bouts like this, and if so what was the cause for you and treatment.

Do you have mecclazine and zofran? Have you seen a Dr. who specializes in vertigo issues/vestibular? If not I would.  I have found a PCP only knows about BPPV, and there are so many other reasons for this.
