vertigo & headaches

I've had vertigo issues for the past 2.5 months. Throughout the time I have not gone more than 3 days without headaches across the front of my forehead & the left side of my temple. I've been to chiropractors (epley drops), vertigo physio (rapid head movements/balance exercises) as well as a CT scan but through it all the headaches have consistently returned. Any similar experiences anybody?

Hi Doddsy,
I've had dizzyness issues stemming from inner ear infection/vestibular neuritis and have found that one of my biggest issues has been brain fatigue/headaches...Obviously, I'm not a qualified doctor, this is just my experience.
In doing the VRT rehab exercises, the brain is seeking to re-wire itself around any damaged areas, this, in my case causes headaches, light headed feeling and brain fog. I've found that, despite my balance being really good, I'm still struggling with it. It has lessened over time. Presumably because the new neural pathways are becoming stronger, but I often get headaches, particularly after a challenging day.
The headaches I experience in temples too, but for me it's like someone is tightening a belt around my head.
I hope that you have some joy in recovery, let us know any progress.
If you are doing VRT rehab exercises, keep doing them...If you're anything like me, the headaches will hopefully fade away until zero point (there will be slight relapses on the way)

you need to research vestibular migraines. i was misdiagnosed 2x before i finally found the right doctor and was diagnosed with this. i had vertigo, dizziness, brain fog, severe headaches. you need to find a dizzy clinic in your area. an otolayrngologist, nuero-otology. a regular nuerologist and ENT are not equipped to treat this. you should get caloric testing. the epley did not help me. i did do vestibular PT before i was diagnosed properly. it was a little helpful but when i found the right doctor, i was put on medication, norotryptiline and this saved me. if you have vestibular migraines, you will need medication to reset your brain. i have my life back. its been a year and half and i would have lost everything last summer had i not found my doctor and the clinic. you can have silent migraines too, so you may be having migraines all the time but not know it. one day i was fine, the next day the world tilted without warning and i was violently ill. look it up. also webmd helped me. when i looked this up, i had every single symptom. even numbness in hand. that is my aura. dont wait this out make your calls as soon as you can. research the closest and best ear nose and throat hospital which has a dizzy clinic. 2 1/2 months is plenty of time to know the epley wont help you. its not BPPV.
