Read a sharing among people suffering from vertigo dated some five years ago and is now locked due to non-use. Hopefully, all those patients suffering from unrelenting vertigo have been healed. I am sort of "resurrecting" that dialogue hoping that I will get some answers to my ongoing vertigo! i am suffering vertigo which keeps me incapacitated me for 10 months now. I have had all the tests, all the doctors except a neurologist who I am scheduled fir a first visit next week. I will appreciate any info from patients like me!!!

I had vestibular neuritis in April 2016 and it took a good year to feel 80% again. I started an anti depressant for the anxiety I had from it all and that took me up to 100%. anxiety plays a big part in all of this. plus it mimics vestibular issues like dizziness etc. I did a caloric test which showed damage to my right ear.

Thank you for your input! I don't know what type of vertigo I have. I am yet to see a neurologist next week! BUT I already went through several mris and ct scans, ultrasound of the keratid arteries, ent exams, blood tests and xrays but they all cane up negative for abnormalities! My vertigo is ongoing for 10 months now and sometimes I think it is increasing instead of abating!

I've had mine for over 2 years now 😦
although, it has improved a little or my brain is retraining.

what have you been doing to retrain your brain? Did you go to a neurologist?

I first had VN in 2007. It went on for 3 years, then it abated until this year when it came back. Better now, but keep doing the the exercises every day 2x or 3x a day. Good luck with the visit to the neurologist, keep us posted.

Sometimes there is an underlying sinus infection that keeps your inner ear inflamed and prone to vertigo.

been to an ent but no abnormalities were found!

usually if you have dizziness and vertigo they will do a cat scan and MRI. sinus infections will show on these scans.
