Very bad abdominal pain for past few months

Hi,
I'm 18, female, and overweight. When my pain first started it was upper right quadrant, but anymore it's upper right, upper right side(near ribs), and around colon. I get really bad "attacks" at night and after I'm eating, which made my doctor think gallbladder. However, blood tests, X-ray, ultrasound, and HIDA scan were all normal.
Anymore the pain has become unbearable and I have a week of severe constipation followed by weeks of diarrhea where I can't keep anything in and can't control it. That cycle keeps repeating. I've also gotten mouth sores and nausea.
Could it still be gallbladder or is it possibly something else?
P.S. the first time I had the pain really bad was after the one chip challenge(hottest chip in the world)

Since you are having bowel habit change and food reactions, it sounds more like a bowel complaint. Two things spring to mind: IBS or IBD. Some forms of IBD, such as Crohns can cause ulcerations in the upper digestive tract; mouth ulcers could be a sign. A pill camera can detect this. If Crohns is in your bowel, it can be detected by a fecal calprotectin test and a colonoscopy to confirm it. However, if this was the case, you would also have bleeding and weight loss.
If it is IBS, nausea, shifting stomach pain, bowel habit change and food intolerance are symptoms. I would go back to your doctor and ask for more tests. In the meantime, stick to bland foods and avoid anything rich, spicy and fatty. Try a food diary to identify food triggers. Sounds like the spicy chip, triggered your symptoms.
