Very bad outcome from Panoptix lens replacement

Had cataract surgery in September ..cant see literally at all with lens without cloudy vision at all distances. My doctor couldn't correct with any lens. I was very FAR sighted at a distance, and now I was corrected to nearsightedness but no correction with a lens works. I'm afraid to go back to this doctor...I did at least cancel my second eye . I need to know where and what to do to get this fixed, removed, it is awful to have both eyes distorted in opposite directions and I want my 3500 dollars + back.

I am sorry for your outcome, especially at this time of the year! Did your doctor say why he could not correct your vision? I doubt you can get your money back. If you don't want to go back to your cataract surgeon, you will need to find another one. Are you in USA? You can Google "Best Eye Hospitals in USA" for a list of some well-known eye centers. If that is not doable, I would look for a medical school nearby with an Ophthalmology Dept. and find a Cornea/Anterior Segment cataract surgeon. They are specialists in cataract surgery.

I don't know if your bad vision is caused by the Panoptix lens, an underlying eye condition, or what.

But I am sure you can find someone to help you, even if you have to see multiple doctors.

    1. IMO, Step 1 would be to get a refraction from an optometrist. Expect to spend $60 or so. This is separate from your ophthalmologist visits. For each eye, you get 3 numbers. Post the first 2 (axis degrees not needed for this purpose). Also post what your prescription for the operated eye before surgery, if you have that number.

    2. What did your surgeon say was happening?

    3. What lens was implanted?
