I've had this right side pain for awhile and I just googled the organs on that side and 1 is the pancreas. I'm paranoid I might have pancreatic cancer. Because I just got news from my doctor that I'm 1 poi t over I to the rang of pre diabetes as well. And a symptom of the cancer is diabetes. I'm scared. I see my doctor Monday. Not soon enough.

Hello Samantha! Stay calm! I think you suffer from health anxiety. It causes all sorts of physical symptoms and one of them being stomach ache. This can be anything from an ache to sharp pain, on your left or right side and it is so so so common. Cancer however is not commen! I know how distressing it can be when you convince yourself you have cancer (been there countless times) but you must stay calm. Here’s what I want you to do:

On a piece of paper I want you to write down your problem so you would write “I have cancer” then I want you to write all of the things that prove it could be cancer. Then write down what things DO NOT prove it could be cancer.

This will show you that your thought is irrational. I don’t want you to think I’m dismissing you because that is not what I’m doing at all.

    Hope you’re okay xx

    Hello Samantha

Stop worrying, stop googling and think out your fears, learn to be rational as far as your health is concerned.

How long has the pain being there ? Also how old are you.

You see your GP on Monday, just relax and stop worrying. If you are so concerned does your Doctor have a web page, where you can make appointments, if they do, keep an eye on your GPs list, you will most probably get a cancelled appointment

I might see your there, I have an appointment at my GP Surgery Monday. There is nothing I can do bur wait.

Let us know how you get on

keep us updated post appointment. google never helps when it comes to looking up symptoms. every symptom one can have probably can point to a cancer type. are you pre diabetic because of your diet? this is one thing that you can change and it will make your whole body feel better.

My doctor does not think it's cancer but is concerned about becoming diabetic. Low card diet. I already started at the gym. Gotta lose this weight to reverse the a1c. He did order an MRI of the chest and abdomen to find out what the chest and side pain is because we know it's not my chest or lungs so he wants to be sure of my other organs. I will get a call in the next day or two with the time and place which I already picked my hospital I want to go to. So hopefully I get the MRI soon and everything comes back normal. Thank you for your support eveyone.

Visit your doctor for peace of mind. The worst thing you can do is Google symptoms because they don’t pertain to your individual situation. Most symptoms can go with most conditions. Pain in the side can be caused by many many non-serious things. The odds of you having cancer is very low especially pancreatic.  When I was having stomach issues my doctor told me that pancreatic cancer is not one of the more common cancers and occurs more frequently in people who smoke and drink a lot. And mainly age 50 plus.

Pain in the side can be from muscle pull, intestinal gas,  stress, anxiety, etc.

visit your doctor to get the reason for your pain. Your overthinking this. Hang in there!

Thank you. My doc ordered an MRI of the chest and abdomen to check all organs.
