Very sensitive, cracking epidermis under the head of the penis. No doctor can help me :(

Hi, I am a 33-year-old generally healthy male. About 10 years ago I contracted fungus from my ex-partner. During the infection, the skin under the head of the penis was weakened and it cracked several times during intercourse. I treated the infection quickly, but the skin remained weak in that area. It doesn't matter if I abstain from intercourse for a month or use the best lubricants on the market (doctor's ideas). A little bit of tension is enough for the epidermis to crack again in this place. The problem only occurs on one side of the penis (I marked the arrow in the photos with a fresh wound). After the wound heals, the skin looks not entirely normal - like a light coating and is very weak (the rest of the photos). As a result, I cannot have a normal, satisfying relationship with a woman. I would be very grateful for any tips that may help to solve my problem.

Thomas.

Hi Thomas your skin does look very fragile and pale have you been to a dermatologist? You have some scarring there witch could possibly be lichen sclerosus or something similar. Are you circumcised it's hard to tell from your photo?

Thanks a lot. You may be right. No doctor mentioned this disease and recommended a visit to a dermatologist. I will definitely go. I'm not circumcised. The problem area is covered with the foreskin during the absence of an erection.

If it was LS it's not very clear your skin is very fragile and you have some scarring so it would be no harm to have it checked with a dermatologist. I would also visit a good urologist and get there opinion.

Use condoms most of the times.

The problem is not caused by friction alone, but even by any vertical tension (for example, pulling the foreskin too far back). But I will try for a while, thanks for the advice.

If pulling alone disturbs that area or tears it, then you should either consider Partial Circumcision/Full circumcision or keep applying a strong steroid cream to that area so that over a period of time the skin gets thin.

If the culprit is a tight frenulum, then a frenuloplasty is needed.

BXO or LS present with hardened skin. I don't see that in your case.

Getting rashes, cuts or tears during sex is actually very very common... lubricants may help... delay sprays may help as well.

Your case, I believe, a competent urologist must be able to solve.

      Good luck.
