Very strange side effects on escitalopram

While I wait for my payciatrists appointment which is in 3 weeks I just wanted to ask if anyone has any idea about the symptoms i am going through. i started on escitolapram branded type that we have here and it has worked amazing for me in the past. i was on fluoxetine prior to that and that has also worked well to ease all my depr and anxiety in the past. i started having a bad ibs flare up some 2 months ago and the health worries start to overwhelm me and i slipped in a deep depresion and anxiety again. so i started what worked for me in the past the escitolapram. it did increase my energy big time so fast, increased my mood and completely removed my ibs symptoms BUT the headache and not being able to fall asleep is almost intorelable. its hard to fall asleep or stay asleep and get a lot of anxiety in the morning. if i dont get xanax i just would have stopped it long ago. xanax eases the headaches and anxiety but i cant keep taking them forever. Now the thing is last time when i was on this medication i did a mistake of taking them not every single day but every other day or every 3,4 days and thats when these headaches developed and i had to stop because of that. i am just scared they wont go away as my body adjusts and it drives me crazy to think ssris wont ever work for me again. Any idea anyone? please i need some words of hope 😦

forgot to mention I am on the meds exactly 3 and 1/2 weeks in today 10 mg. and the headaches feel sometimes like sinus pressure, sometimes pain dull or sharp and sometimes a general heavy feeling. and anxiety feels mostly like burning hand and feet and huge insomnia like feeling that u just cant manage to fall asleep.

I am on that same medication. I am highly sensitive to any medications but I am not getting headaches from it. Be sure you were taking them every day because if you don’t that can cause headaches. remember that these antidepressants can take up to six weeks or longer to be effective. Maybe the headache is caused by your anxiety or sinus pressure. If it doesn’t go away talk to your doctor , maybe a medication adjustment.
to fall asleep this works for me every time. I listen to some great meditations on YouTube for sleep or overthinking etc. or anxiety. I never make it through the whole meditation because I fall asleep. They are very comforting and keep you from overthinking. Take care of yourself

Its not like i have negative thoughts or on going worries. These seem to be blocked from the med . Its like burning sensations and this huge headache. Last time around i had to stop the medication due to severe headaches which after 4-5 months were not going away. As soon as medication was stopped the headaches went away! Its so weird.

I am just not certain if i should wait until 4-5 weeks at least. i would be over 6 weeks until my appointment and all that is helping is xanax and even that isnt properly addressing the symptoms unless i take like 1 mg a day then its good. i am lost...what other medecine whould i try? never tried snris. maybe they wont give me the headaches. ill suggest it to the specialist maybe.
