Try ice. Make an ice suppisitory. More importantly get into the habit of bran every day. I don't waste time eating it. I put it in a glass pour milk on it until I can drink it like a smoothie. It's OK

Try doing sitz baths and also apply some ice directly on the area affected.

I have a friend who swears by With Hazel (with no alcohol added) but I've not tried it. Make sure you drink lots of water so you don't have to strain for the next few days at least.Maybe stool softners. If you are in the UK, Aus or Canada Anusol supoositries are better then Prep H but in the US I think they are now only by prescription.

If you can't put ice on directly try putting a wet face cloth in the freezer - fold it first so that when it comes out you can place it between your butt cheeks, alterante with a warm bath or sitz bath.

Try everything you can not to strain, drinking water (I'm post op and drinking a minimum of 3 liters a day) , avoiding meat and dairy. Preparation H also had creams and ointments - these help a little.

Hi james. Please do not worry so much having piles. As long as piles do not bleed, then you are fine. Even if they bleed, it is still-really not a serious case.

If you are not at ease during BM, drinking more liquids, eating more fruits and vegetables, and a warm bath will lessen your strain in BM.

Going around, you may feel the pile, and make you uncomfortable, but just relax yourself, please do not do anything that may irritate the pile.
