Very worried about what to do as I have to take 5 HTP but taking a daily seems to cause numbness sym

Hey guys

I hope you are well. recently I have been taking 5 HTP supplement to overcome side effects of anticoagulants which I'm prescribed long term.

With regards to those side effects it is working very well, however having taken it daily over the past 6 days I have suddenly today gone extremely numb and tingling feeling generally.

I really don't know what the best thing to do is as its advantages are necessary for me to function. however it seems difficult to overcome the physical side effects as this makes me panic.

since I have been on blood thinners for the past 6 years they have caused terrible side effects including terrible depression and low serotonin, hence doctor recommended 5 HTP to help with this which seems to be working.

I feel stuck in a catch 22, as if I stop taking it the mental side effects will come back but if I keep taking it could that also cause damage?

Do you think I might be safer just to reduce the dosage of 5htp from Once daily to once every other day? I really don't know? please help.

Thanks for Reading and I appreciate any help.

I don't know what HTP and I'm not sure of you're situation but have you tried Aspirin and omega 3? For blood thinning effects? That's what I use. I had bilateral pes in November of 2016. was on thinners for 6 months and have been off since may of 2017. So far no problems.
