Very worried - Chronic Sinusitis and facial swelling both sides of nose

The past two years I have had around 6 x episodes of Sinusitis, but the latest one has lasted nearly three months. I've have had 2 rounds of Amoxicillin prescribed and nasal sprays; so far there is no signs of this letting up. My doctor referred me to an ENT who I saw a few days back and he has prescribed Betamethasone to see if this helps and has ordered a scan.

I seem to have dry Sinusitis ; not a great of discharge and what does come out is white and gloopy (sorry for the description).I have headaches, jaw ache. pain at temple and the feeling my nose is being constantly pinched. My main concern is that I have swelling on both sides of my nose (more pronounced on my left hand side and non painful). Its making me very self conscious and I am now wondering if this is something more sinister. The swelling has been there for 3 weeks!Has anyone experienced anything similar and did this correct itself in time? The ENT did say my nose was inflamed and not straight (Deviated septum).

Thank you for your time.

i sure hope you dont have nasal polyps or a fungal infection. i have had 4 sinus surgeries since i was 17 and i am now 39. if they seen polyps in the scan they would have told you. maybe its fungal related and or allergies. id ask to try a fungal antibiotic then get yourself some claritin or singulair
