Vestibular Neuritis AND BPPV??

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi - I'm wondering if any of you have experienced VN and BPPV together - I have essentially been given a diagnosis of VN by one ENT and BPPV by another. Can VN lead to BPPV? Can the VRT that I do for my VN dislodge a crystal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yes it can but VRT won't help. I think it's called an eply monveure u need to do. VRT will make ur symptoms worse until u move the crystals back into the canal

Thank you for the response, melody. The weird thing is that I am definitely recompensating with the VRT! My neuro ent says to do both - definitely makes me nervous. Hope you are doing well

    Hello,

The eply maneuver did not work for me. If they have not yet done this for you it would not hurt ask for your doctor to perfrom it. It is a simple procedure. Not sure why they did not do it already as it supposedly works for 88% of patients with vertigo.  They do this to to see if this is what it is or if it may be a different problem in the inner ear. Have you had an MRI?
