Vestibular Neuronitis????

4 weeks ago I had fullness in my ear on and off I went to the doc and they irrigated my ear. After that for the next 3 weeks it's been hell. The vertigo was bad the first week then it was a dizzy off balance feeling. I went and had an mri all clear. The Ent says I have vestibular neuronitis. All day I feel tired and off...my mind is not sharp or clear it's like I'm living someone else's life. When I lay down to go to sleep I close my eyes while laying propped up on my back...sometimes I get jolted away and feel dizzy but not the spins. I wake up with my body tingly and totally off... it gets better as the day goes on. I'm starting VRT but I feel hopeless like it's never going to go away. I used to be happy and full of life... now I'm sad, anxious, spacey and off all the time ... anyone else experience this? Especially with the sleeping the doctor said that is very strange. Oh and my tinnitus went away after the first week.

Yes. After 2 months of being dizzy 24/7 it stopped. I continued feeling off and have some dizziness on my right side. It has now been 3 months ..I am about 75-805 better and just went back to work today.... gonna do part time for about two weeks and then go back full time. I'm hoping to keep getting better! I too suffer with vestibularneuronitis. My first attack was a good few years back. I vividly remember it. I went to see a specialist through BUPA I was told that the vestibular node in my balance mechanism had been destroyed and it does not return so in affect had to adjust. Even walking was liking starting from scratch. They ruled out a brain tumour task goodness! I was told it was something i has to live with and to be honest over the years I've only had a couple of bad attacks. BUT I'm having one at moment . Been a week now can't walk without falling. Drop things and unable to drive. Along with the feeling of giddiness dizziness and sickness I'm coping just. However because I look fine people do not seem to have any understanding and I'm sure they think I'm making it up!
However, it is real it is an illness and we have it !
