Vestibular Papillomatosis or Something Else?
Posted , 1 user is following.
Of all the things I have done in life, sharing this picture is the most surprising.
But, getting appointments are difficult these days.
I have had these bumpy protruding things since delivering my first child 7 years ago. Today, they have a new white color to them that I have not seen before. My husband remarked that it is new as well.
Looking for comfort, guidance, suggestions. I understand seeing a Gyno is essential for this issue but would like to reach out before hand.

Hi Stace,
Nothing wrong with this appearance; character of the vaginal mucosa changes depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle and other influences (e.g. if you are on hormonal contraception, etc), presence of vaginal infections (thrush, BV), how vigorous you wash yourself (douching), allergies etc.
If you have some additional symptoms like an altered vaginal discharge and irritation or malodour and you're worried about infections, see your doctor and ask for a swab to test for infections like thrush and BV. I'm assuming risk of STD is remote, otherwise I would also recommend an STD screen.
