round July 3 I was noticing some light itching down stairs with white thick discharge so on July 5th I told a one day Monistat to help prevent yeast infection. Symptoms were mild barely itching but yet no burning of pain. I took the Monistat that night once I applied the topical I instantly started getting the worst burn of my life which brought me to tears and jumping in the bath to relief pain and wash off medication. I then examined my lady parts because the burn that came after apply the topical scared me and I noticed redish round spots they were not tender or painfu. The next day spot were still present but no itching and slight tingle which I’m assuming was from the harsh reaction to topical cream I woke up the next day and all symptoms were completely gone. No red spots , no tingle , no itch or anything it’s like it never happened ! I did take pics of the spots on my vagina to show my doctor. She tends to think it was from a reaction from the topical with me being agitated from scratching previous. She stated if herpes Monistat would not of cleared symptoms in 36 hours also I had no scabing really no pain at all except when cream was on me. I’m still nervous what are your thoughts

Obviosuly everyone has a different experience and symptoms but my first outbreak was agony you definitely wouldn’t miss it! And it took 2 courses of antiviral meds to clear it.
I’d think that your doctor is probably right xx

I know that with my first outbreak it lasted about 3 weeks and had stages...first it felt like a UTI with discomfort peeing etc, then the ulcers came out which were absolute agony, they lasted almost a week before scabbing then it was extremely itchy for another week or so after that.
What has made you think it might have been herpes over anything else? Xx
