The last week, my vision is blurry at times and my eyes water a lot, they also are more bloodshot; is this the start of OC? (Can't remember correct name).

Jeanne, if you have PMR you are at risk of succumbing to the linked condition, GCA.  However, if you are on steroids for PMR, they can cause blurring of vision, and can also cause small blood vessels in the eye to rupture leading to the blood shot appearance, but this is not anything to be unduly concerned about.   If your eyes are watering a lot it could mean that you have dry eyes, although I know that sounds strange!  You will be able to get some eye drops fromt the pharmacy to help remedy this problem..  However, do get an appointment with a good optician or ophthalmologist and ask them to check the back of your eyes for any problems with the optic nerve just to be on the safe side.  In the meantime, if your vision worsens or you experience any pain, then do seek emergency advice, at A&E if necessary.

I have blured vision and my eyes water alot right from the onset of prednisone. I went to my ophthalmologist asap and it was dry eyes and drops help.

In Canada if on prednisone you are covered by OHIP to see your ophthalmologist every 6 mos. Which i saw her for the 2nd time last week and my eyes are getting worse.

This is our new life and we do our best to ward off the othet ailments that can creep in.

      Go get checked out.
