Vision problems

problems are blurriness, spots, floaters, dull vision, kind of faded and dark vision. If I'm looking at something white or light colored I see like sparkles everywhere. The weirdest thing is how much this fluctuates. One day my vision is close to perfect the next it's absolutely horrible. I've seen so many specialists and nobody knows what is causing this. The only idea any doctors have told me is it's anxiety/stress related. I doubt it. I've had high blood pressure for a while. Could high blood pressure cause this?

tyler04178...yes, elevated bp can affect the eyes..that's for sure. If you saw an Optometrist, you may do yourself a huge favour by seeing an OPTHALMOLOGIST. They're the specialists for the eyes. I'm certainly not a doctor, but what you describe sounds like a retina problem. Again, I'm not a doctor.

Thank you Mike, I did see an opthamologist, neurologist, even a neuro ophthalmologist .... I don't know if maybe they missed something or if whatever is happening just doesn't show in the testing. I've had an Mri,lumbar puncture, EEG, and several test done on my eye, nothing is showing up. I have had two retina hemorrhages in my right eye, but the doctors don't say much about it. It's all very confusing and I'm just so fed up.

I'm not a doctor but the reason I'm asking is that I was on Atenolol for bp and it messed up my eye sight really bad. It's been a few weeks since I stopped taking it and I'm still having problems but in the beginning it was painful and blurry. I started to think my eyes were damaged like others I read about. Now its mostly blurry. I was following a blog about this and most were having serious issues with bp meds and eye problems. I thought maybe you could do some research in that area to see if you could be having similar problems. Good luck, if you have any questions, will be glad to help if I can.

I read blogs on here "Atenolol and side effects".
