Vision- what are your symptoms?

Heya!

Just wanted to ask what visual symptoms you all get. I never had any visual symptoms, and over the course of a few week I have gotten tons!

I get floaters, flashes, light streaks and the worst part oh my lord!!! I am hypersensitive about every little glare and shadow, it drives me nuts! I notice the tiniest little speck of dust flying across my vision.

I also wanted to say that there is always hope, in the midst of storm, we think of happiness and peace as some unreachable fantasy, but it is always closer than we think. And my absolute favourite quote-

We think anxiety hurts us way more than it actually does.

Sometimes my eyes feel heavy and looking up makes me slightly lightheaded. I could be hungry or tired but its very bothersome.

Hmm that sounds a lot like eye strain from maybe too much computer usage or reading... but I have found that anxiety tires our eyes too because eye muscles are muscles like any else, they aren't safe from anxiety's grip :D

Plus in my case my eyes are always on max-danger-mode because I am hypersensitive about my vision, so that tires them out really quickly too..

      All the best to you!!

Ziggy is this just sometimes that these vision issues happen or are they more of a constant issue? I have these issues as well.

      Nope, constant.

I am literally in this state of hypersensitivity about my vision. When I am anxious every little glare or shadow startles me. When I am calm, I still notice everyyyyy one of these occurences but don't chalk it up as going crazy lol.

      We will get through this!

Its weird how anxiety affects vision.. just another of the horrible physical symptoms that appear.

I found that even when my anxiety lessened i still got the physical symptoms like vision disturbance.

When i was having CBT they told me it takes time for it to improve...

Hope you get some respite from it x

Yes! I find it very true, that it takes time to heal. I have awful peripheral vision sensitivity, I always think I am seeing things. It's worse when I am anxious but now it is there all the time even when I am completely calm.. it's really strange but it doesn't really bother me much, because I know that I am just so keyed up all the time, that I am in this persistent stress state.

Anyways, all the best to you! smile

I feel the same regarding eyes, and any other physical symptoms (I have health anxiety too so I'm all over the place right now) I've had floaters for about 3 years. I freaked out at first but my optician told me they were normal and checked my eyes and said they are healthy. I also suffer with light flashes and have been light sensitive for about 10 years. My weirdest symptom is that I can see my pulse in my eyes. Usually in my left eye. It's not a twitch, it's like I can feel and see it pulsing behind my eye. I went to the opticians yesterday and was told my eyes are healthy and this pulse is probably due to stress and anxiety. Doesn't seem to make it any easier though!
