Visual disturbance

During my recent 2 attacks I've experienced visual disturbances. I've had problems with right eye focusing the same as left eye. I get about 5 mins warning before full attack. I get a sensation of head and eyes swaying. I then have to lay on my left side for couple of hrs till my world stops going around. Vision is always slower on the right eye coming back to normal.

I find my between the gum dissolvable tablets stop the sickness.

If you have not been reviewed recently suggest you ask for one. Although visual disturbamce may be a new, albeit unwelcome feature of your Meniere's it may have another cause such as migraine. Better safe than sorry!

      I've had visual migraines before.

My sister also suffers from menieres but gets double vision

      with her bad attacks.

Sometimes I get a mild attack and other times severe ones.

It doesn't help that I have a lazy right eye also.

That happens to me too. Didn't when I first started with the disease just in the last 6 months. I found progesterone cream has really helped. Extra water in body and monthly hormonal fluctuations was causing havic with my md.

I went to see a specialist the other day as my Gp thought I might have MD. After talking to him and some tests being done, he said he thinks my condition is migraine related balance disorder. The symptoms are the same apart from headache after an attack. It's definitely worth seeing a specialist to confirm any condition.
