Visual disturbances not diagnosable?

I've had this problem for years now and had no diagnosis. I've had permanent fixed what I would describe as flashing dots in my vision.

They are not that bad but very noticeable and never leave my vision. I have already accepted the fact that they will there for life and when I had a eye test done a few years ago nothing showed. My optician said everything was normal and they are harmless and there is nothing they can do to get rid of them.

I don't understand why nothing showed and wanted a diagnosis really.

Another issue is and I will describe as best as possible, when I close an eye with one hand over the other I sometimes see temporary black patches that last a matter of seconds in very bright lit rooms. It also seems like I see a patch ( I don't really want to describe it as a shadow) on the corner of my eye where you can see the side of your nose when I put pressure on the closed eye.

This really depends on lighting and seems fine usually. When I look at that part of your nose sometimes I will see a temporary patch that lasts a matter of seconds. I can see fine normally and there isn't any shadow or anything but just depends on lighting.

Just imagine putting one hand over one eye and then seeing what appears to be a black patch or what you may call a shadow in the corner of your eye where your nose occasionally. Like I said depends on lighting sometimes it seems like its all the time. Usually it is seems fine though.

It is very hard to describe but it gets me very anxious sometimes and I've these issues for as long as I can remember.

The optician put 2 drops in my eye last time and I have another booked in about 10 days.

I can see fine out of both eyes but it can be very alarming.

about the flash spots, I am currently seeing strange dots in my center view sometimes they appear as three groups of dots, they move like a bug, shimmering, it is driving me crazy because I see tthis in darkness ,it is troublesome for me to sleep , they seem to not stop and sometimes gets red shimmer

the patches are very strange and I also have pulsate effect in my vision usually on bright white walls. I told my optician about it but he never said anything to me about what it was, just seemed like he was writing it down.

have you had an eye exam done? I left mine for years before I went. Just had to come to the fact that I will always constantly see these dot, sometimes they are like sunspots. Permanent visual disturbance but I just have to live with it, at least I'm not blind.

Are they permanent fixed disturbance? wonder if the same thing as mine.

I don't know exactly if they are fixed

but I can spot one dot that appears in the same area, it looks lightgreen , this one I think I can see with two eyes

also there are spots that turn into sun spot and keeps shining or a smudge

Excluding the dots and sunspot, I started seeing "funny" vissual effects 7 years ago after being obsessed about floaters, I visited many eye M.D. but they couldn't find nothing, except changing glasses. The last time I didan eye exam was 2 years ago.

About this eye patch when closing the eyes with the hands, I think we see thatshadow because the brain still using the other eye vision, is like a binocular feature , the brain can see temporary what the other eye can see even closed. this is just my words
