Hello, my doctors discovered that my VitD levels were very low like yours. This was approaching 3 years ago. I was put on 1000iu per day. My levels increased quite quickly but I was left on the VitD. I subsequently read that I should take 2000iu per day, which is what I have been doing.
I am due to see the Consultant at the beginning of February. I will see if they want to take more blood, it hasn't been checked recently.
I also read somewhere, that you should chew the VitD tabs and take them with something fatty - maybe cheese for example. I anticipate taking the VitD for ever!
Good luck

It takes at least three months to build up your vitamin D and your reading was pretty low. It will be interesting to find out what your level is now.

February 4th my doctor will check again after 12 weeks taking vit D 50000 wekly . Im still confuse why Im dealing with that sleepy sensation. My doctor told me the Vit D does that , but she was not especific if it was the deficiency or the high dose of vit D that Im taking .

Before I started taking VD and I was deficient I would fall asleep at night really fast. Not even two minutes on my phone and I was out which was not normal for me. Once I started supplementing, I got much more energy and started having more trouble sleeping at night. I never felt tired throughout the day with a deficiency and without but I think everyone is different.
