Hi,it helps some,i get 400 mg calsules, poke it woth a pin, squeeze it on my finger and apply to the vulva and entrance to vagina. They make vit E suppositories for in the vagina,i have them but have not tryed them yet. Wear loose underwear, use sitz baths and wear loose clothes. Its not fun,im having a flare right now.

Hi Lee thanks so much for replying. Am sorry to hear that you also are having a flare . I also stopped using soap down there I have always used ivory but now just water . The ivory was irritating it more . If there is anything else you can suggest it would be greatly appreciated .

My doctor gave me permision to try hydrocortisone 1 percent ointment over the counter for the outside with bad flares, vulva only, also a and d ointment vulva only. Replens for in vagina although i never tryed it,sometimes in a flare i feel i have to go to the bathroom more often, hate that,my main problem is the vulva,i dont have sex anymore,so thats probably why. Ive gained some weight so my underwear does not fit right,so that irritates me. The sitz baths helped alot, you buy a basin that fits on the toilet and soak for 10 to 15 minutes, luke warm water, then i lay on a bed and air dry, sounds wierd but helps. For a whole yr i felt much better, now its back, think its caus of wearing tighter pants. Actually had erosions from that before, once they healed,i felt almost normal.

FYI replens has glycerine in it. I don't know if its common but anything with glycerine in it tended to irritate me more.

Look up coconut oil for vaginal dryness I used it daily for 1.5 years it really helped a lot. I used it vaginally and on the outer. Not only did it help with dryness but it keeps yeast infections at bay.

Hi SLK  does the coconut oil get absorb with the skin or  did you find that the coconut oil is messy . Did you have to wear pantie liners ? Do you only use it  at night or during the day also ? Thanks again for your replies.

I used it mostly internally on a nightly basis rarely during day only if I was extremely dry and burning . I would keep underwear ,sheets and towels in separate container and always washed them on hot. Coconut oil stains. When I get home later today I will text you the brand its the only brand that I had no issues with meaning mostly no mold issues u ordered it from amazon very good company it always comes tightly packaged... No broken jars ever. Extremely happy with product.... I would melt it pour into molds shaped like a tear freeze them popped them out and kept in freezer bag in freezer.

Vit E did not work for me but Hydromol on prescription keeps it at bay also Balance activ menopause plus pessaries and Yes lube for internal and external.

Hydromol looks like Vaseline it comes in a pot and when wet becomes soapy like a lather and lays a protective barrier around the irritated area. I use it in shower and apply direct around the perineum.it is only for external use and was recommended by a dermatologist. Lasts for months a medium pot.

I have found Yes VM is most effective for moisturising and reducing soreness, rep, ends does nothing. The only other cream that helps for temporary relief is vagisil, although it can sting initially.

i use aqueous cream to wash with, better than any soaps or even better than the feminine washes I have tried.
